The activity aimed to
prepare students for graduate-level
study and to enhance their understanding
of the curriculum structure, teaching
and learning systems, research
processes, and academic capacity
development. The program was designed to
ensure alignment with higher education
quality assurance standards in
accordance with the AUN-QA
framework.
The activity included an
explanation of academic administration
and teaching and learning management
delivered by the program coordinators,
along with an introduction to the
administrators, full-time faculty
members, expert guest speakers in
various music disciplines, and staff
responsible for the Master’s and
Doctoral programs. This was intended to
ensure that new students clearly
understood the roles and
responsibilities of all parties involved
in the educational process, as well as
the systematic academic support
mechanisms provided. In addition, the
program offered detailed information on
teaching and learning approaches, thesis
and independent study requirements,
creative research, and the development
of musical works. Emphasis was placed on
integrating theoretical knowledge,
practical skills, and research in order
to enhance student learning outcomes in
alignment with ASEAN higher education
quality standards. The overall
atmosphere of the orientation was
orderly and conducive to participation
and the exchange of ideas among new
students, faculty members,
administrators, and guest speakers. This
served as an important foundation for
developing graduate students with strong
academic competence, moral and ethical
integrity, and the ability to create
knowledge and musical works that
sustainably respond to societal and
professional needs.
